In recent years of work on mobile ad-hoc networks, we see a convergence of better radios and routing schemes for specific scenarios. A next stage of the evolution of such networks would be to support the federation of different Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs), working together. In this project, we look at the design of routing among different ad-hoc networks. This problem is known as that of inter-domain routing for mobile ad-hoc networks. The ability to perform inter-domain communications between different ad-hoc groups is critical in certain operations, e.g. relevant public safety and emergency teams where the communications between police, medical personnel, firefighters, and others groups are required.
